I think this is a great website to pay respect to the men and women of our military. One of my agents, Ellen Lamb is a former Marine. She is a proud Marine. Her son, Dave, is a Marine and is presently serving. Both of my brothers are veterans and another one of my agents, Rick Huckaby, is a veteran. It is awesome to think of all of the military people we know and what their service means to all of us. Thank you for this venue to say THANK YOU.

My grandfather,John Claude Gunter, served during the WWll on the U.S.S. Hornet. He never talked about the war. Only after reading a publication ( Chips off the old rock) he had tucked away with some other war related items did I realize what a sacrifice he had made for his country.

My Dad, Colonel Paul L. Doppel USAR (Retired) is my favorite veteran and a daily inspiration. I also must remember my grandfathers, Roger W. Glasgow who served in WWII and Colonel Leroy Doppel USA (Retired) who served in WWII and Korea. God bless our Veterans!!!

My Dad served during WWll. He wouldn't talk very often about that time. But when he did I would listen closely. Donald Henry Crisler died Sept. 1, 2008 and I miss our long conversations. Miss going to all the appointments, even the hospital visits, getting his groceries and EVERYTHING! He was proud to have served The United States!!!!

My Daddy. He's long gone now, but he served during WWII.
